ChatGPT Health (3-minute read)

OpenAI has launched the ChatGPT Health feature for users in the United States, allowing them to securely connect Apple Health and medical records. Users can link their health information to ChatGPT to receive personalized health management, including interpreting test results, summarizing medical records, and tracking changes in sleep and activity levels.

This update is designed to naturally incorporate health context into everyday conversations, without requiring users to visit a separate dedicated space. For example, when planning meals, connected allergy information can be taken into account, or workout plans can be suggested based on recent injury history.

Key features include the following:

• Data connection: Links with Apple Health and supported medical records to enable context-aware conversations
• Personalized insights: Compares past and current test results, and provides easy-to-understand explanations of medical terminology
• Model performance: GPT-5.5 Instant and GPT-5.6 Sol enhance reasoning capabilities for complex health information
• Privacy protection: Connected medical data and related conversations are not used for model training or ad targeting

The feature is currently being rolled out on web and iOS to logged-in users aged 18 and older in the US (Free, Go, Plus, Pro plans).
