Turning AI prompts into one-click tools in Chrome

With the launch of Skills in Chrome, you can now save AI tasks you repeat often and instantly run them again whenever you need.

Save a useful prompt from your chat history as a Skill, then call it up in Gemini in Chrome by typing / or pressing the + button. When you run a Skill this way, it also makes use of the page you're currently viewing and any other tabs you've selected.

Early users are building a variety of workflows with this feature.

• Health & Wellness: Quickly calculate protein macros for any recipe
• Shopping: Compare product specs side by side across multiple tabs
• Productivity: Quickly scan long documents for important information

The Skills library, released alongside this feature, also includes pre-built Skills you can try right away. You can automate tasks like analyzing product ingredients online or picking a gift that fits both budget and taste, and if needed, save and edit them to personalize further.

Security and privacy follow Chrome's existing protection framework. For actions that require real-world effects, such as adding a calendar event or sending an email, confirmation is requested first, and Chrome layered protections such as automatic red-teaming and auto-update also apply.

Rollout begins today for Gemini in Chrome, and saved Skills can be used on any signed-in Chrome desktop device. To manage them, type / in Gemini in Chrome and press the compass icon.
