Cohere Signs EU Code of Practice on Transparency for AI-Generated Content

Cohere has signed the EU Code of Practice on Transparency for AI-Generated Content, becoming one of the early signatories. This signing demonstrates the company's commitment to information integrity, transparent AI operations, and compliance with the EU AI Act.

The code is a voluntary compliance tool for AI system providers and deployers to demonstrate compliance with Article 50 of the EU AI Act. Cohere signed Section 1, which applies to AI system providers, and will introduce transparent practices to properly label AI-generated content.

Cohere had previously also signed the EU AI Act Code of Practice for general-purpose AI models. Going forward, the company plans to continue working with the EU AI Office, the AI Act Advisory Forum, and the GPAI Code of Practice Signatories Task Force, among others, to support responsible AI governance and adoption across Europe.
