Stability AI has launched Image Services on Amazon Bedrock. This service goes beyond simple image generation, providing professional image editing capabilities in API form to support end-to-end creative workflows.

Image Services includes 9 editing tools that broadly support two types of workflows:

• Edit: Performs precise modifications while maintaining the composition of existing images. Key tools include Inpaint (fill/replace specific areas), Erase Object (remove objects), Remove Background (background removal), Search and Replace (search and replace), and Search and Recolor (color change).
• Control: Changes style or generates variations while maintaining the image's structure. Includes Structure (structure preservation), Style Transfer, Style Guide, and Sketch (convert sketches to photorealistic images) tools.

This service is provided through Amazon Bedrock's fully managed architecture. Developers and enterprises can directly integrate advanced editing capabilities into existing content management systems (CMS) or digital asset management (DAM) platforms via API endpoints, without complex infrastructure management.

Major customers such as Mercado Libre and HubSpot are already operating image generation and editing workflows in actual production environments using Stability AI's APIs provided on Amazon Bedrock.
