FuriosaAI Partners with I/ONX and Velox to Build 15MW AI Data Center in Sweden

FuriosaAI is building a total 15MW AI data center in Stockholm, Sweden, together with I/ONX HPC and Velox. Velox will handle facility development and operations, with the first 2MW scheduled to go live in early 2027 and an additional 8MW to be added sequentially later that year.

I/ONX plans to deploy 1,800 Furiosa RNGD accelerators in the first phase, adding over 7,000 more in subsequent expansion phases. The RNGD is a high-performance, power-efficient AI inference accelerator with a 180W TDP, forming a heterogeneous AI computing environment alongside GPUs on I/ONX’s high-density Symphony SixtyFour platform.

Velox will provide the data center to customers on an IaaS basis, while I/ONX is responsible for system integration and platform operations. FuriosaAI will provide RNGD semiconductors, drivers, software stack, and architectural support to facilitate the construction of high-throughput, low-latency AI inference infrastructure in Europe.
