New Setup Page After Domain Purchase

When you purchase a domain on Vercel, you are redirected to a new setup page that shows the registration progress in real time. Once registration is complete, you can immediately choose from the following actions:

• Deploy a new project
• Connect to an existing project
• Proxy or redirect an existing site
• Configure email

Domain registration may take a few minutes, and each configuration action becomes available as soon as the domain is ready for use. If registration fails, the cause and refund status are also displayed on the page.

The deploy new project feature opens a project creation screen with the domain pre-selected. You can create a project by connecting a Git repository, using a v0 prompt, or selecting a template, and the domain is automatically connected upon deployment. The connect existing project feature allows you to select a desired project from your team and attach the domain to it.

It is also possible to continue operating an existing site while connecting the domain via Vercel. If you enter the origin server, traffic is routed through Vercel's CDN and Firewall to the existing site, and if you enter a redirect URL, visitors are directed to that address. In both cases, Vercel creates a routing project and automatically configures the necessary settings.
