Cloudflare Announces Ambassadors and Community Engineers Programs, Adds $1 Million to Open Source Support

Cloudflare has announced new programs to support, recognize, and expand its community. The programs operate through two tracks: Cloudflare Ambassadors, who promote Cloudflare within their own communities, and Cloudflare Community Engineers, who support open-source projects contributing to the advancement of the internet.

Ambassadors lead local events, student groups, meetups, hackathons, workshops, and tutorial creation. Selected participants receive credits for event operations, marketing assets, technical resources, and visibility within online community spaces, with an activity period of up to two years.

Applications for Ambassador status are open until September 6, with selection results communicated by October 5. Alongside this, Cloudflare announced an additional $1 million in funding for the open-source ecosystem.
