Hermes Agent Now Supports Vercel AI Gateway and Vercel Sandbox

Hermes Agent supports Vercel AI Gateway as its inference layer and Vercel Sandbox as the agent command execution environment. Through AI Gateway, you can access over 200 models with no additional token markup, and all requests, usage, and costs can be monitored in the dashboard.

To set it up, select Vercel AI Gateway in the setup wizard and enter your API key. The model selector reflects the real-time model availability and current pricing from AI Gateway. Existing Hermes users can change their model or terminal settings after updating.

Vercel Sandbox is an optional feature that is disabled by default. Setting terminal.backend to vercel_sandbox runs commands in a cloud microVM with /vercel/sandbox as the working root instead of the local environment. node24 is the default runtime, with node22 and python3.13 also supported.
