Firebird Launches Largest AI Factory in CIS Region in Armenia

Firebird has launched the largest AI factory in the CIS region in Armenia, utilizing NVIDIA accelerated computing and Dell Technologies' high-performance AI infrastructure. This facility supports developers, startups, enterprises, universities, and public institutions in training, fine-tuning, and deploying AI models tailored to their local languages and industries.

Firebird plans to build over 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs and 300MW of AI infrastructure in Armenia by the end of 2027. With a goal of securing a total of 2GW of infrastructure globally within about two years, it is expanding into emerging markets including Armenia and Kazakhstan.

The AI factory is based on the NVIDIA DSX platform, featuring an integrated design for accelerated computing, networking, power, and cooling. The goal is to accommodate up to 40% more GPUs in the same footprint, lowering cost per token and improving power capacity utilization.

Schneider Electric supplied the power infrastructure, and Vertiv supplied the cooling systems. Dell PowerEdge servers are combined with NVIDIA's reference architecture, networking, and AI software, and Perplexity, which develops AI agent platforms and answer engines, is participating as an early customer.

NVIDIA plans to invest in Firebird, and Firebird intends to expand its global infrastructure and operational scope alongside CoreWeave, which invested earlier this year. The Armenian facility went live just over six months after launch, demonstrating the speed of AI infrastructure deployment.
