Cohere Announces Strategic MOUs with Indra Group and Multiverse Computing

Cohere announced that it has signed strategic MOUs with Indra Group and Multiverse Computing respectively, aiming to spread sovereign AI around the world.

The collaboration with Indra will be driven around IndraMind, within a framework of technology cooperation between Spain and Canada. IndraMind will handle sovereign computing and data management capabilities, while Cohere will provide the LLM.

The two companies also plan to develop additional features tailored to Spain's official languages—Castilian, Catalan, Valencian, Basque, and Galician. The partnership also includes an enterprise AI platform and defense cooperation, targeting improvements in analysis, mission planning, and interoperability across multinational training and operations.

With Multiverse Computing, the collaboration—through its Canadian entity—will explore commercial cooperation opportunities in Europe and Canada. Both companies aim to expand their presence and grow revenue in each other's markets, and emphasized deployment flexibility spanning cloud, VPC, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.

Aidan Gomez, Cohere co-founder and CEO, emphasized that enterprises increasingly want to own AI rather than rent it, and said this collaboration is about delivering AI wherever the data actually resides.
