Olive Young's SpringCamp 2025 Participation Recap with the External Backend Community

Olive Young participated in SpringCamp 2025 as a Gold sponsor, engaging with about 500 developers and sharing its technical capabilities. The main presentation covered a logistics system improvement story for handling large-scale traffic.

The team detailed their experience transitioning the logistics interface from an existing EAI and batch-based structure to a real-time processing system based on AWS MSK (Kafka), and improving the RDB-centered inventory system to be Redis-based. The presentation session drew such a strong response that all 150 seats were filled.

Additionally, through on-site Q&A, the following technical solutions were shared.

• DLQ (Dead Letter Queue): For topics where order guarantee is important, order is ensured using an application-level reprocessing strategy and Kafka partition keys.
• Data consistency: To maintain consistency between Oracle and Redis, periodic comparison/verification batches and a Datadog alert system are operated.
• History management: An OpenSearch-based EFK stack was built to unify management of inventory change history.
• Load management: To handle large volumes of inventory lookup requests such as electronic shelf labels, the API call method is dualized depending on traffic.
