Adobe Premiere Color Grading Mode Accelerated by NVIDIA GPUs

Ahead of NAB Show 2026, Adobe has unveiled a beta of Premiere Color Mode. It's a dedicated grading environment built directly into Premiere, letting editors continue color correction without external tools.

The new mode leverages GPU acceleration on GeForce RTX and NVIDIA RTX PRO systems, and for the first time operates at 32-bit color depth. NVIDIA explains that this brings major speedups to playback, iteration, and visual feedback.

Key features include:

• Clean UI: A dedicated color correction screen with reduced distractions
• Clip grid view: See color changes and consistency across shots in a sequence at a glance
• Modular controls: Multiple adjustment modules can be active simultaneously
• HUD guidance: Contextual guidance for each control without cluttering the interface
• Up to 6 luminance zones: Finer tonal control beyond just highlights, midtones, and shadows
• Context-aware scopes: Scopes and HUD overlays dynamically change based on the selected tool

Since the entire color correction process runs on the GPU, heavy operations like bidirectional controls, multi-zone tonal shaping, and stacked color operations are processed faster. Color styles can also be applied at the sequence, clip, reel, or custom group level, making look management easier for large projects.

NVIDIA simultaneously announced an update to Project G-Assist v0.2.1. The new version improves game settings detection accuracy and enhances the knowledge system, and can now control advanced RTX features in the NVIDIA App including DLSS Overrides, Smooth Motion, RTX HDR, Digital Vibrance, and encoder settings.
