Tiro's Journey to Building Security Infrastructure with Kiro and Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification

As the autonomy of AI agents increases, development speed accelerates, but operational risks grow if trust and governance fail to keep pace. Tiro defined security as an integral part of its product and established an operational model that explicitly outlines red lines that must not be crossed systemically.

It redefined the preparation for ISO 27001 certification not as mere documentation, but as a process of redesigning operations to generate tangible evidence. Policies were drafted by AI and contextualized by humans, while evidence was automated through a compliance platform connected to AWS infrastructure, allowing real-time verification of readiness.

In particular, AWS's AI coding agent Kiro was actively utilized in the infrastructure control domain. Kiro supported the refinement of security infrastructure through the following environment:

• Workspace: Modification of Terraform-based infrastructure definitions and operational scripts
• Integrated Terminal: Resource queries via AWS CLI and Git history management
• MCP (Model Context Protocol): Verification of the basis for the latest infrastructure changes based on AWS Documentation
• Agent Hooks: Automation of repetitive inspection and validation workflows

Through this approach, Tiro refined its security infrastructure four months faster than expected and achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification.
