DSH Desktop App Released for DeepSeek Harness

DSH Desktop, an app that allows users to run DeepSeek Harness, the coding agent framework by DeepSeek AI, without complex environment setup, has been released. The app supports macOS and Windows and is built on Electron, packaging Node.js and essential dependencies.

Key Features and Architecture

• Plugin-based structure: Instead of forking upstream sources, the desktop shell itself is implemented as an official plugin running on top of the official Harness runtime. This maintains upstream integrity while integrating desktop features.
• Environment isolation: Protects the development environment by using a dedicated runtime included within the app, without touching the system's Node.js environment or PATH settings.
• Two modes supported:
  • Compatibility mode: Uses the existing web client layout as is.
  • Advanced mode: Provides an improved UI by applying native materials (Mica, Vibrancy) and desktop-specific frames.
• Profile and terminal management: Profiles can be easily switched via the tray menu, and a dedicated terminal environment is provided without modifying system settings.

The project is currently in the 0.1.0-rc stage. Linux supports compatibility mode only, and features such as mobile remote control are included in the future roadmap.
