Google Launches Gemini 3.7 Flash with Enhanced Coding and Agent Performance and 50% Price Discount

Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, a new model optimized for coding, agent workflows, and knowledge work. This update is the result of a rapid iteration cycle, occurring just three weeks after the release of Gemini 3.6 Flash.

For enterprise developers, Google is offering API prices at a 50% discount until the end of 2026. Currently, the price for Gemini 3.7 Flash is $0.75 per 1 million input tokens and $3.75 per 1 million output tokens. Starting January 1, 2027, prices are expected to increase to $1.50 and $7.50, respectively.

Gemini 3.7 Flash aims to be a more intelligent 'workhorse' model compared to its predecessors. Key improvements include:

• Planning and Execution Capabilities: It thinks more carefully during multi-step planning and tool calls, with improved abilities to self-correct errors and clarify intent.
• Coding and Debugging: Debugging and problem-solving capabilities have been strengthened, allowing the generation of functional web layouts and applications with fewer prompts.
• Business Workflows: Reasoning and accuracy in real-world business environments have been improved.

Benchmark results also showed significant performance gains:

• FrontierCode 1.1 Main: Recorded 43.6%, significantly surpassing Gemini 3.6 Flash (34.4%) and slightly exceeding Claude Sonnet 5 (42.7%) and GPT-5.6 Terra (41.3%).
• DeepSWE v1.1: Achieved 65.3%, demonstrating a leap forward compared to the previous model (49.0%).
