Vercel Agent Now Available in Slack Code Channels

Vercel Agent has started working in the newly launched code channels environment on Slack. These channels are designed for working with coding agents, allowing all members in a channel to track work progress, issue new instructions, and review written code.

Users can get started by selecting 'Create code channel' from the Slack sidebar and designating Vercel as the agent. If users ask the agent to create a channel from an existing channel or thread, that context is brought along into the new code channel.

Within code channels, Vercel Agent offers the following features:

• Work tracking: While the agent is working, it posts relevant deployments, logs, errors, and diffs to the channel.
• Natural conversation: The agent understands conversation context and responds when needed, without requiring users to mention @Vercel every time.
• PR reviews: When requested to review a pull request, it identifies bugs outside the diff and explains the root causes of failed checks.
• Change approval: It is read-only by default and does not exceed the requester's permissions. It drafts a plan before making changes, waits for approval, and records the requester and approver for all actions.
• Stopping work: Code channel creators can cancel active tasks at any time.

This feature is currently available in public beta for Pro and Enterprise teams.
