Data-centric AI

Upstage will host an online event called 'Upstage Talks' at 8 PM on September 22, 2022, sharing real-world business problems from the financial industry as case studies and introducing the core of data-centric AI.

The topic of this session is 'The Necessity and Core of Data-centric AI', and Koo Tae-hoon, Technical Partner at AWS, will participate as the speaker. Partner Koo led digital innovation in the financial sector while serving as Head of Data Planning and Head of the AI Innovation Center at KB Kookmin Bank and KB Financial Group, and is currently providing advisory support on digital innovation, data, and AI to executives and leaders at financial companies.

The event will center on the following topics.

• Business problems actually encountered in the field
• Data as the key asset for solving problems
• Technologies and methods for applying data-centric AI

Upstage Talks began in 2020 as an in-house technical talk and became known through achievements such as ranking No. 1 in the world on Kaggle and talks given by developers in Silicon Valley, and has recently been operated as a regular monthly event. Last month's session, 'The Success Formula for Adopting AI OCR', drew more than 100 real-time attendees.

Upstage also previewed its 'Upstage AI Pack', set to launch in the second half of the year. This no-code/low-code solution allows users to leverage OCR, recommendation technology that reflects customer information and product/service characteristics, and natural language processing search technology for semantic search all at once, and also supports data processing, modeling, metric management, and continuous updates.
