Startup Trains AI Using Living Human Skin Tissue

Outer Biosciences, co-founded by Michael Polansky, has developed technology to keep human skin tissue alive for weeks outside the human body. The startup uses this living skin tissue as data to train AI models.

The goal is to efficiently explore new skincare compounds that were previously difficult to discover. Polansky, known as Lady Gaga's partner and a former senior advisor to Sean Parker, has quietly pursued this project and recently revealed it to the public.
