Cloudflare Releases BotBase for Operators… Track and Fix Bot Registration Status

Cloudflare has launched BotBase for Operators for bot operators. This move addresses the inconvenience where, previously, operators could not know the approval status after submitting a bot to BotBase or had to contact support to modify information.

The new dashboard is located at the Protect & Connect → Application Security → BotBase path, integrating bot directory search, new bot submission, and submission history management in one place. In particular, the Submission history tab allows real-time verification of each bot's status (Waiting for review, Accepted, Rejected). In cases of rejection, specific reasons and action items are provided to facilitate resubmission.

Operators can directly modify information for bots already submitted or cancel submissions pending review. This is useful when bot identification information changes, such as IP list changes or the application of Web Bot Auth, as maintaining accurate information significantly impacts obtaining Verified status and allowing traffic within the network.
