• Carbon emissions from training Grok 4 reached 72,000 tons, 14 times that of GPT-4.
• GPT-4o's annual water usage was cited as equivalent to the drinking water needs of 12 million people.

Trust and Perception

• Trust in US government AI regulation stood at 31%, the lowest among surveyed countries.
• Gen Z's "anger toward AI" rose to 31%, up from 22% last year, while "excitement" fell to 22%, down from 36% last year.
• There was a 50-percentage-point perception gap between AI experts (73%) and the general public (23%) regarding AI's impact on jobs.
• The number of AI-related incidents rose from 233 in 2024 to 362 in 2025.
