Robinhood announced a feature through the Robinhood Gold card that allows AI agents instructed by users to make purchases on their behalf.

Key features are as follows:

• Enhanced Security: Agents are assigned a virtual card that can be deleted at any time instead of the actual card number, ensuring security.
• Spending Management: Supports safe usage through monthly spending limit settings and notifications when a certain amount is exceeded.
• Cashback Benefits: 3% cashback is provided the same as before, even for payments made through agents.

This service aims at practical use cases of agentic shopping, such as purchasing products below a certain price or making restaurant reservations.
