How to Use Siri Text-to-Speech

Siri's Text-to-Speech (TTS) feature is very useful for users who are visually impaired or need to multitask. Through the Accessibility settings on iPhone or iPad, you can have on-screen text read aloud.

The setup steps for using this feature are as follows.

• Enable Siri: Settings > Siri & Search > select 'Siri' or 'Hey Siri'
• Enable TTS: Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > enable Speak Selection or Speak Screen

There are two main ways to use this feature. Speak Screen reads the entire page when you swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers, making it suitable for reading long articles or emails. Speak Selection reads only a specific portion of text after you highlight it and tap the 'Speak' button that appears.

Users can select from various accents in the Voices menu, or adjust the speaking speed with the Speaking Rate slider. Additionally, the Highlight Content feature allows you to visually track the text as it is being read.

However, for professional purposes, using an advanced TTS service like ElevenLabs, which offers high-quality audio and emotional expression, is more effective.
