Mistral AI is introducing the AI for Citizens initiative to address these issues. The program is built on the principles of openness, collaboration, choice, and autonomy, and supports nations and public institutions in choosing the infrastructure and technology that fit their own purposes.

Key offerings include:

• State-of-the-art platforms and products: A broad portfolio ranging from top-tier AI models to chat and coding assistants
• Deployment control and choice: Self-hosting for full control, use of data centers through local partners, or a choice of SaaS and serverless API
• Data sovereignty: Ensuring that data hosting and processing comply with each nation's safety and privacy regulations

Mistral AI is currently working with governments and public institutions around the world—including France, Luxembourg, Singapore, the Netherlands, the UK, and Switzerland—to realize this vision.
