GLM 5.1 overwrites files

This is an account of using GLM 5.1 for about a day while looking for an alternative because Opus API costs were too high.

At first, the performance was lower than expected.

• There was an issue where, if it couldn't find an md file, it assumed the file didn't exist simply because the path wasn't specified.
• That was workable, so the author kept using it, but a bigger problem surfaced afterward.

The biggest issue was that it overwrote existing files without checking them.

• 3 system/project files were replaced
• The targets were an md file, a cron file, and a project file used for task tracking
• It even overwrote a file that was being managed by another openclaw instance

The author noted that recovery was possible thanks to backups, but because of this behavior, they judged it untrustworthy for autonomous execution environments.
