Anthropic is officially opening its Bengaluru office in India, marking a full-scale push into the Indian market. India is Claude.ai's second-largest market worldwide, with a significant portion of users leveraging Claude for highly technical work such as building applications and modernizing systems.

Efforts to lower language barriers are also underway in parallel. Anthropic is building high-quality training data to improve model performance across 10 major Indian languages including Hindi and Bengali, and is collaborating with Karya and the Collective Intelligence Project to establish performance evaluation frameworks for locally specialized fields such as agriculture and law.

The enterprise and startup sectors are also showing steep growth.
