Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Expands Claude for Enterprise Adoption to Support Scientists

The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in the U.S. is expanding enterprise-wide adoption of Claude for Enterprise to approximately 10,000 scientists, researchers, and staff. This expansion is a measure to strengthen research in nuclear deterrence, energy, materials science, and energy security, and represents one of the largest deployments within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratory system.

Claude for Enterprise provides robust security features tailored to government environments. It supports SSO (Single Sign-On), audit logging, role-based access control (RBAC), and end-to-end encryption, and its vast Context Window allows hundreds of documents, codebases of over 100,000 lines, or complex datasets to be processed in a single query.

Researchers can use AI to accelerate research in the following key areas:
