Snowflake and Anthropic Expand Strategic Partnership

Snowflake and Anthropic are expanding their strategic partnership through a $200 million multi-year agreement. Through this collaboration, Claude models will be made available to more than 12,600 global customers using the Snowflake platform, and the two companies will pursue joint go-to-market (GTM) initiatives for deploying enterprise AI agents.

Snowflake is also actively using Claude in its own internal operations. Notable examples include Claude Code, which boosts developer productivity, and the GTM AI Assistant, which helps sales teams make use of data. Thousands of Snowflake customers already process trillions of Claude tokens every month through Snowflake Cortex AI.

Going forward, the partnership will focus on deploying AI agents for complex, multi-step analysis by combining Claude's reasoning capabilities with Snowflake's governance environment. In particular, it achieves over 90% accuracy on text-to-SQL tasks, providing a trustworthy AI environment even for regulated industries such as finance and healthcare.

• Multimodal analysis: Query text, image, audio, and table data via SQL using Snowflake Cortex AI Functions

• Governance and observability: Snowflake Horizon Catalog provides responsible AI controls for regulated industries
