Chess.com Introduces 'Play Coach' Featuring Voices of Renowned Chess Players

Chess.com, the world's largest chess platform, has launched the Play Coach feature to support learning in a non-competitive environment. Users can receive feedback on their moves through the voices of renowned chess players such as Hikaru Nakamura, Levy Rozman, and Magnus Carlsen.

This feature was built on ElevenLabs's Text to Speech and Voice Cloning technology. Each digital voice was created in collaboration with the actual players to reflect their unique vocabulary, pace, and tone, providing a more immersive and personalized learning experience.

Play Coach offers the following value:

Chess.com had previously experimented with voice-based education through its Learn Chess with Dr. Wolf app, and through this collaboration has directly integrated the voices of actual players and creators into the platform.
