AI21 Labs' state-of-the-art language models integrated into Snowflake platform

AI21 Labs has partnered with Snowflake to integrate its Jurassic-based foundation models and Task-Specific Models into the Snowflake environment. The integration targets the recently unveiled Snowpark Container Services, aiming at the trend of deploying containerized applications and AI/ML models together.

Initially available as a private preview, customers will be able to deploy AI21 models directly within their own Snowflake accounts in the form of Snowflake Native Apps. Deployment is provided through the Snowflake Marketplace, allowing operation with minimal setup while fully leveraging Snowflake's fully managed infrastructure and governance.

With this integration, customers can use AI21's natural language and generative AI capabilities directly within row-level functions on tables. The goal is to enable use cases such as extracting insights from proprietary datasets across various fields, including retail and financial services.
