Cloudera and Mistral Partner on Enterprise Data Sovereignty and Custom AI Model Development

Cloudera and Mistral announced a partnership to deliver Sovereign AI solutions for enterprise customers in regulated industries. This collaboration is designed to meet the requirements of industries where data control and security are essential, such as finance, manufacturing, and telecommunications.

Key highlights include:

• Internal Environment Inference Execution: Integrating Mistral's models with Cloudera's hybrid data platform enables the deployment of AI models and full control over data across various infrastructures, including private clouds, on-premises, and fully air-gapped environments.
• Custom Model Development: Enterprises can train AI models within controlled environments using their own vast proprietary data. This allows them to develop models optimized for their business while retaining ownership of the data and the generated intelligence.

Leveraging 30 exabytes of customer data managed on its platform, Cloudera supports the shift from renting general-purpose AI models to a paradigm where enterprises own unique intelligence based on their own data. Mistral ensures that open-weight model adaptation, training, and inference processes are performed within the infrastructure and jurisdiction chosen by the customer.
