ElevenLabs Releases Music v2.5, Wins Blind Tests and Offers Lossless Downloads Across All Plans

ElevenLabs has released its latest music generation model, Music v2.5. This model is set as the default in ElevenMusic, while the existing Music v2 remains available.

Performance and Quality

In blind tests involving 47,885 pairs of data, Music v2.5 showed higher preference compared to previous models. Notably, in vocal-centric and acoustic genres such as R&B, Soul, Hip-hop, Rock, Metal, and Orchestral, there was significant improvement in the naturalness of instrument sounds, song layering, and structural completeness.

Ownership and Download Policy

All tracks created in ElevenMusic are owned by the user. The Free plan offers 5 lossless downloads per day, while the Pro plan offers 400 lossless downloads per month. Users on the Free plan may use tracks commercially provided they include ElevenMusic credit. Even if future terms of service change, usage rights for previously created tracks will be maintained. However, downloads are restricted for tracks generated by referencing other artists' songs.

Integration and Other Notes

Music v2.5 is also available in ElevenCreative and the ElevenLabs API, and can be used for Studio video scoring or executing Flows nodes. For reference, ElevenLabs has signed a multi-year strategic agreement with Universal Music Group (UMG), but this is separate from Music v2.5, and UMG artists' music was not used to train this model.
