Google Announces 2026 DevFest Schedule… Hosting 800 Global Events to Prepare for the Agentic Era

DevFest 2026, organized by Google Developer Groups (GDG), will take place from October 1 to December 31, 2026, with approximately one million developers participating globally. This year's event comprises over 800 events across 115 countries, with each local GDG curating agendas tailored to the needs of their local ecosystems.

Three Core Tracks for the Agentic Era

The 2026 theme is "Build, Secure, Scale: Developers and Builders in the Agentic Era", focusing on strengthening the development capabilities required for the AI agent era. The key tracks are as follows:

• Build: Accelerate prototyping and deployment using new tools.
• Secure: Focus on secure deployment without sacrificing stability, data privacy, and building responsible AI guardrails.
• Scale: Scale to reliable production infrastructure from day one using Google's top-of-class models.

Hands-on Programs and Tech Stack

Participants can work with the latest tech stacks, including Gemini, Google AI Studio, Google Antigravity, Google Cloud, Firebase, Android, Flutter, Angular, and Web MCP. Hands-on programs such as live codelabs, workshops, and agent-athons provide opportunities to enhance technical proficiency and test new architectures.
