Apple Launches Next-Generation Apple Intelligence Today; Korean Beta for Siri AI Scheduled for October

Apple launched the next-generation Apple Intelligence today, adding powerful AI capabilities to the apps and experiences users use every day. Based on a new architecture designed with privacy in mind at every step, the latest Apple Foundation Models are deeply integrated across operating systems to enhance features on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. Supported devices set to supported languages can access new features starting today via iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27.

Siri AI and Multilingual Support

'Siri AI,' a completely revamped Siri, combines personal context understanding, world knowledge, screen awareness, and in-app action execution. Through the dedicated Siri app, conversation history is privately synced to iCloud, allowing users to continue conversations across devices. Siri AI is scheduled to be provided in beta versions sequentially starting in October, in addition to French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese, also in Korean. Server-based models are subject to daily usage limits, and expanded access will be offered on a paid basis in the future.

Key Feature Updates

• Photos App: Offers new ways to improve composition and edit photos, with SynthID standard support expected to be applied via a software update later this year.
• Safari: Provides intelligent tools to customize browsing.
• Image Playground: Helps creativity with a completely new generation model that supports realistic images.
• Others: Includes Mail suggestions, call context awareness, and enhanced VoiceOver image descriptions. (Some features are available only in English)

Limitations

Siri AI is not available to users under the age of 13. Certain features are available only in English, and features such as home accessory control require additional hardware and subscription conditions.
