Using Claude Code Agent Teams During On-Call Duty Over the Lunar New Year Holiday

During on-call duty over the Lunar New Year holiday, an issue occurred where payments for a specific product failed at a store. The cause was a data consistency problem due to duplicate barcode-option mapping.

The issue was resolved with a simple data fix, but there was a high likelihood that the same problem could occur at other stores. However, there was no tool available to quickly conduct a full investigation, resulting in the inefficiency of having to manually run DB queries every time.

This task was an operational issue not included in a formal sprint or OKR. Since going through resource allocation and planning as a formal project would take too long, the team decided to solve it directly using Claude Code.

While backend API development was familiar territory, frontend implementation was unfamiliar. Even so, using Claude Code Agent Teams, the team was able to build a real-time monitoring system—including both backend and frontend screens—in just half a day.
