Stagehand v4 is a browser automation SDK for agents, supporting three languages: TypeScript, Python, and Go. It offers a Playwright-style API (goto, click, etc.) and improves token efficiency through Hybrid accessibility-tree trimming. When run in the Browserbase cloud environment, it achieves execution speeds 2x faster than Playwright cloud by using an extension architecture that operates next to the browser to reduce round-trip latency. Additionally, it simplifies model provider configuration via Model Gateway and supports server-side caching and Self-healing features.
