Dropbox Releases New API Documentation with MCP Support and AI Assistant

Dropbox has officially launched new API documentation at docs.dropboxapi.com. This overhaul is designed to help developers integrate the Dropbox API more quickly and intuitively.

Key features include interactive API testing, which allows developers to test endpoints directly within the documentation. Without switching to separate tools, users can configure parameters, make API calls, and view actual responses in the browser. Additionally, an AI assistant is included on the page to provide immediate support for endpoint inquiries, troubleshooting, and code example generation.

Notably, integration with AI tools is now possible via the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. By connecting compatible AI tools such as Claude Code or Cursor directly to the documentation, users can receive answers and integration support based on the latest Dropbox API documentation. The MCP server can be accessed via the connect action on API reference pages or through a specified URL.

The new documentation offers unified search and navigation features that consolidate endpoints, types, schemas, and more in one place.
