Vercel AI Gateway Adds Grok 4.7 Support and 40% Discount Until September 27

Vercel AI Gateway now supports the Grok 4.7 model, with an automatic 40% discount applied to calls to this model until September 27. The discount applies to all requests using the spacexai/grok-4.7 model ID.

Grok 4.7 supports a 500K token context window and offers four reasoning levels: low, medium, high, and xhigh. This allows users to directly balance latency and reasoning depth.

Integration and Usage

The same model ID is available in the AI SDK, the OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions API, and coding agents connected to AI Gateway. After installing the latest Vercel CLI and completing setup, you can select Grok 4.7 in supported agents such as fx, Cursor, Codex, Amp, and OpenCode. Additionally, when creating an eve agent, you can pass the model ID as an initialization argument to run it with the xhigh reasoning level.

Data Protection and Cost Structure

Grok 4.7 supports Zero Data Retention and prohibits prompt training. Request logs can be viewed alongside other models in AI Gateway logs, custom reporting, and budget management features. AI Gateway provides a unified API for model calls, usage and cost tracking, and retry and failover configuration, reflecting provider prices directly without imposing platform fees.
