Vercel Connect Adds Managed Connector Support for Microsoft Teams

Vercel Connect has introduced a managed connector for Microsoft Teams. This allows organizations to create Teams bots run by applications and agents, enabling users to interact by mentioning them in channels or sending direct messages.

Simplified Security and Configuration

Vercel registers Azure Entra apps and Bot resources in the tenant, so there is no need to store client secrets separately. Once a tenant administrator completes the setup, incoming Teams activities are validated and forwarded to the project.

Token Management and Control

Code requests tokens only when needed via the @vercel/connect SDK and similar tools. Each token is scoped according to the request and automatically refreshed, eliminating the need for manual rotation. The connector works only in connected environments, and access can be revoked at any time using the vc connect revoke-tokens command.
