ElevenLabs Unveils AI-Native Video Editor 'Studio 4.0'

ElevenLabs has unveiled Studio 4.0, which integrates the video production workflow. Previously, video generation, voice dubbing, music production, and editing were split across different tools, but Studio 4.0 is designed to perform all these processes within a single project.

Direct Generation and Editing Within Projects

Users can directly generate videos, images, voices, music, and sound effects on the timeline via prompts. It supports over 10,000 voices and more than 32 languages, allowing generated sources to be immediately edited and exported within the project, eliminating the need for file re-uploads or rebuilding edits.

Precise Editing Timeline and AI Agent

The redesigned timeline offers frame-level zoom, clip snapping, and auto-sync features. Subtitles can also be split, merged, and edited like regular clips. Additionally, the built-in Studio Agent automatically drafts content—including clip placement, voice generation, and sound effect synchronization—when users describe their ideas. It also supports analyzing clips frame by frame to insert sound effects at specific moments.

Collaboration and Performance Improvements

Feedback can be managed by adding comments directly to clips or assets, and the redesigned playback engine ensures smooth scrubbing and previewing even with long timelines and multiple layers. The tool targets creators and marketers producing final video assets such as social clips, product teasers, and explainer videos.
