Vercel Removes Blob Store Creation Limits Across All Plans

Vercel has completely removed the limit on the number of stores that can be created in Vercel Blob. The previous caps of 100, 500, and 1,000 stores for the Hobby, Pro, and Enterprise plans, respectively, have been eliminated, allowing unlimited store creation as needed.

Billing Policy Changes

Store creation is billed under the Blob Advanced Operations category. On the Pro plan, the cost is $5.00 per million operations, while on the Hobby plan, it is included in the monthly quota of 2,000 free operations. Store deletion is free, and storage and data transfer continue to be billed based on usage, just as before.

Use Cases

Developers can now isolate data by using stores themselves as boundaries instead of relying on path rules. Key use cases include:

• Environment Separation: Isolate production, staging, and preview data using separate credentials
• Multi-tenancy: Create per-customer stores to export or delete a specific tenant's data in a single call
• Temporary Tasks: Create stores for preview branches or migrations and delete them upon completion
