CoreWeave Introduces ARIA, an AI Research and Iteration Agent for Weights & Biases

CoreWeave has introduced ARIA (AI Research and Iteration Agent), a new AI agent integrated directly into the Weights & Biases (W&B) platform. Designed with deep understanding of the W&B ecosystem, ARIA supports a full autoresearch loop: analyzing data, generating hypotheses, executing experiments, evaluating results, and proposing next steps.

How It Works

When a user inputs a question, ARIA generates hypotheses and deploys experiments to infrastructure via W&B Launch. It automatically creates comparison panels and reports, selecting visualization types based on the data structure:

• 2D sweeps: Heat maps
• Hyperparameter interactions: Parallel coordinates
• Comparisons: Bar charts

If results are insufficient, ARIA suggests iterative improvements such as adjusting sweep parameters, changing schedules, or modifying dropout rates. The agent has context-aware access to project data, including run IDs, configs, logs, code, and system metrics, allowing it to efficiently query projects with hundreds of thousands of runs.

Key Features and Availability

ARIA is currently in Public Preview, accessible via the agent icon in the W&B project sidebar. Key capabilities include:

• Cross-project search: Querying metadata like run names, configs, and logs.
• Mobile support: Monitoring runs and interacting with the agent via the W&B mobile app.
• Performance: Optimized for W&B’s specific API and structure, offering faster and more accurate responses than general-purpose LLMs.

Future updates planned after the Public Preview include:

• Autonomous experiments: Automatic selection of high-priority hypotheses and end-to-end experiment management.
• Permanent memory: Continuous learning of project workflows and research goals.
