Kurly Holds First Hiring-Linked Hackathon… Winning Teams to Receive KRW 10 Million Signing Bonus

In the summer of 2022, Kurly held its first hiring-linked benefit online hackathon, KURLY HACK FESTA 2022. Designed to give e-commerce tech talent the chance to solve retail tech challenges and earn an opportunity to join Kurly, the event drew a total of 156 teams in applications.

67 teams advanced to the main round, building out their submissions on AWS infrastructure over about one week, and 12 teams advanced to the finals, where they gave presentations at Kurly's offline office. Judging involved current Kurly employees as well as representatives from official sponsors AWS and Megazone Cloud, who evaluated creativity, completeness, feasibility, and other criteria.

The final winners were 4 teams: Detail Retail, Kurl Kurl Kurl, Kurvey, and Kurly Man Review. Winning teams receive KRW 5 million in prize money and 1 month of Market Kurly's 'The Purple' membership tier, and finalists who apply to join Kurly are exempt from the document screening, coding test, and job skills interview stages. Notably, applicants belonging to the final winning teams who join the company will receive an additional signing bonus of KRW 10 million.
