Kakao Unveils 29 Sessions on AI, Backend, Cloud, and Data for Day 3 of if(kakaoAI)2024

The third day of if(kakaoAI)2024 featured a total of 29 afternoon technical sessions across four fields: AI, Backend, Cloud, and Data. In the AI field, presentations included summaries and AI Bot development using LLMs, a conversational wine recommendation service, development cases for FunctionChat-Bench, and the development of 'Helix Shorts', a generative AI-based webtoon preview. In the Backend field, topics included JVM performance improvements through GraalVM adoption, KakaoPay's delayed transfer service and distributed lock know-how for processing tens of millions of payments, and the Rust refactoring case of KakaoWork's messaging engine. In the Cloud field, sessions covered the implementation of CI/CD based on thousands of Kubernetes multi-clusters, high-availability Kubernetes design for data center fire preparedness, and KakaoBank's journey to building On-premise Kubernetes. In the Data field, insights were shared on building the MongoDB automatic upgrade platform 'MUA', developing the large-scale data synchronization system 'SyncBus', and operating know-how for Kafka Kraft mode.
