Kakao Revives Internal Hackathon '24K Reunion' After Three Years

On August 18, 2022, Kakao held its internal hackathon '24K Reunion: Come back to Play!' for the first time in three years. The event was organized as a two-day, one-night session for Crew members to share ideas under the theme of coexistence in the post-corona era.

A total of 226 Crew members (65 teams) participated, and attendees were provided with ready bags containing essential hackathon items. The winning team received 2 million KRW in Kakao Pay points per person, among other prizes, adding to the excitement.

Kakao had been running internal hackathons since 2013 but suspended them due to the pandemic, resuming offline events in 2022 under the name 'Reunion'. Preparation for this event was handled by a 23-member hackathon TF team from June to September 2022.
