Kakao Commerce Platform Development Team Hiring Crew for 40 Million User Services

The Commerce Platform Development Team under Kakao Commerce CIC is recruiting crew members to co-develop major commerce services, including 'Gift,' which is used by 40 million users. This team is responsible for core technical infrastructure within the commerce division, which was converted into a Company-in-Company (CIC) in August 2022.

The team has shared case studies on large-scale traffic handling and data architecture improvements through the ifkakao conference. Key achievements include refactoring to process tens of thousands of orders per second, stable server operations based on G1 GC, and a project that applied the CQRS pattern to shard the order DB into 10 instances and migrate to MongoDB.

Candidates without experience in the commerce field are eligible to apply, and currently, 80% of team members have non-commerce backgrounds. The team uses major tech stacks such as Java, Kotlin, Spring, MySQL, and Kubernetes, and values problem-solving skills in high-volume traffic environments and a consistent attitude toward learning.
