Kakao's FE Platform Team is an organization of over 40 members dedicated to improving Front End quality and supporting developer growth, having disclosed its key responsibilities, tech stack, and development culture. The team covers four areas: FE development infrastructure, Daum services, KakaoTalk-related services, and business partner services.

Tech Stack and Development Environment

The usage rate of JavaScript within the team is approximately 72%, with React and Vue.js being the dominant frameworks. State management utilizes Redux, Vuex, and MobX, while test automation leverages Jest and Cypress.io. Build and deployment are handled through Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Collaboration-Centric Development Culture

The team aims for an environment where at least two developers work together on tasks, with 90% of crew members collaborating with colleagues. Code reviews are conducted via GitHub Pull Requests, and 69% of crew members perform an average of two reviews per day. Weekly team meetings feature individual presentations, with over 60 technical presentations accumulated since December 2018.
