Vibe Coding Enterprise Data Apps with Replit and Databricks

Connecting Replit's Agent with the Databricks connector lets companies build apps that directly use tables, models, and warehouses they've already governed.

Databricks is a platform where over 20,000 enterprise customers centrally manage data and AI, helping Replit apps securely access sensitive data without copying it.

In a live demo, Manny (Replit) and Cong·Denis (Databricks) vibe coded a 3D weather globe app using sample data. Replit Agent handled project scaffolding and UI while Databricks handled scale and governance, producing a working internal tool in minutes.

The core flow is as follows.

• Add the Databricks connector to Replit and authenticate to the workspace.
• Agent explores the catalogs, schemas, tables it can access.
• The app queries Databricks tables directly, generating code while preserving existing governance and access control.
• Databricks Genie acts as an in-app data copilot, answering natural-language questions and pointing to the tables and fields behind each answer.

This combination lets non-developers such as PMs, RevOps, analysts, and marketers build enterprise internal tools themselves. They can quickly deploy dashboards, workflow tools, and data-driven apps without waiting in an engineering queue, while leaving security, compliance, and performance to Databricks.
