NVIDIA researcher Jim Fan and Replit's Amjad Masad and Michele Catasta came together to discuss the latest trends in generative AI and the potential of Multi-modality technology.

NVIDIA is transitioning from a hardware supplier to an enterprise-focused AI provider, and through NVIDIA AI Foundations, it is supporting companies in building their own unique use cases using multimodal language models.

Multimodal technology innovates the way we communicate with computers by integrating images, video, and 3D data beyond text. This enables the processing of more natural human input, and is expected to be utilized in various fields such as note-taking and automating home decoration planning.

There was also an in-depth discussion on the direction of LLM development. Model performance no longer depends solely on the number of parameters, and Reinforcement Learning, Self-supervised Learning, and Constitutional AI play key roles.

In the coding field, the role of AI is being further emphasized. Tools like GitHub Copilot X have emerged, and Replit offers Ghostwriter to boost developer productivity, which includes the following features:

• Chat and Contextual assists
• Smart code completion
• Proactive debugger

LLMs are predicted to become the new computer of this generation, bringing fundamental changes to the way everyone works, from beginner coders to professional developers.
