[RV0] How a Team of High Schoolers Built a Tool to Make Machine Learning Easy

Machine learning is central to modern technology, but its steep learning curve—rooted in complex syntax and Python-based environments—creates a high barrier to entry. To solve this, a team of high schoolers developed Kobra, a block-based visual programming language.

Kobra works in a manner similar to Scratch, letting users focus on their project's logic instead of syntax or complex class structures. Its dedicated editor, Kobra Studio, offers the following core features:

• Built-in data visualization tools
• Dataset management and an editor
• An easy-to-use library of machine learning models

It also runs a community site where users can share projects and fork others' code to experiment. In keeping with the open-source spirit, the entire development process is public on GitHub.

With support from Replit Ventures (RV0), the team is turning their prototype into a real product, refining it through user interviews and UX improvements.
