Three builders' case studies using Gemma 4

Gemma 4, Google's most powerful open model, has recorded over 150 million downloads since its release, expanding its ecosystem. Recently, Multi-Token Prediction (MTP) to speed up inference, a 12B Unified model, and Quantization-Aware-Training (QAT) checkpoints have been added.

Provided under the Apache 2.0 license, Gemma 4 can be fine-tuned and deployed across a range of environments, from edge devices to local workstations. Builders are actually using it to build the following innovative applications.

• HubX's BetterSpeak: An offline AI English tutoring platform using the Gemma 4 E2B model. It applied a 4-bit quantized model to overcome mobile hardware constraints, and supports real-time voice learning while protecting privacy without an internet connection through native audio input capabilities.
• Visual intelligence applications: Cases are emerging that leverage Gemma 4's powerful Vision-Language capabilities to perform tasks such as Object Detection, Visual Question Answering (VQA), image captioning, and multi-image reasoning.
